THE PROCESS
I believe my art is best achieved when I am not thinking, a fully cathartic and subconscious event. The practice stemmed from childhood, when I was three my mom would draw a random squiggle on paper and have me make something out of it. Back then the focus was to make a figurative object from nothing. In college I discovered the joys of color and how the absence of figure brings a purer form of painting. With complete focus on color, there is more interpretation, and possibly, more inspiration.
